New Moon - I have seen it!!!!

Wow! What else can I say??? Wednesday night at 11pm my daughters Samara and Courtney and myself headed off to our midnight viewing of New Moon. The cinemas were buzzing, there were Twilight T-Shirts galore and lots and lots of excited people, eager for the next installment of the Twilight saga...

Now, I won't say too much as there are many out there who haven't been able to see the movie yet and I don't want to give anything away. But I will comment on a few things!

1. I was very impressed with the quality of the film. The bigger budget has allowed a more polished look to the movie with some awesome special fx.

2. I felt the perfomance of all the actors was more believable than in Twilight. Maybe it was that they were more comfortable in their roles, or that they knew they had such a huge fan base with such high expectations. Whatever the reason, I felt that the personalities of the characters was more noticeable.

3. I loved how true to the book this movie was and that the parts that differed from the book, worked well in to the story. Obviously it is impossible to work all parts of the book in to the movie.

4. I LOVED VICTORIA!!! Her stunts were awesome, I am sooooo sad that she is not to be in Eclipse. To me, this IS Victoria, and in her Eclipse the focus is on her alot more. That has certainly tarnished Eclipse for me and I am not looking forward to the movie quite as much as I would have been.

5. I loved all the stunts, special fx, fight scenes etc... It seemed to have the right mix of action, romance and humour to allow the movie to appeal to a wide range of people. There were plenty of guys at the screening!!

6. The Volturi were spectacular! Dakota Fanning did a fantastic job as Jane! The scenery in Italy was magnificent and I am SOOO glad that it was filmed there. Made the scenes so very authentic!

I am off to see New Moon again tomorrow night and am just as excited as the first time I saw it. I had been questioning my sanity, going to a midnight screening after flying in from Queensland at midnight the night before! But I am so glad I did it and would do it again and again! Yesterday was a little difficult as I was SOOO tired, but had a good nights sleep last night and am rearing to go again.

Hoping to post some all new stuff on etsy in the next few days, so be sure to check it out. I am really happy with how the new stuff has turned out!

ummmmm....

A little bit more of a teaser!
I have just finished reading New Moon in prep for midnight viewing!!! So excited. I have the soundtrack, thankyou soooo much Jo! I absolutely love it! Very mellow. I also have just bought the Twilight journals in the collectors tin, these are just gorgeous and I need to have a really good look through them! And last, but not least, I have the New Moon movie companion, which has some fantastic pictures in it. Only bought it yesterday and have just flicked through, but so far so good!
We arrive back from our Gold Coast holiday at about midnight on Tuesday 17th and then go to the midnight session of New Moon on Wednesday 18th! I am going to be so buggered for the rest of that week! But so worth it!
My girlfriend Jo is running a fundraising event of a movie session to New Moon on Saturday 21st November at the 7:30pm session. There will be loads of giveaways and games and it will be loads of fun. If you are interested in going to this fund raiser, just let me know and I will put you in contact with Jo.

So very cool!

Eclipse - The Movie

Just when you thought you couldn't stand waiting any longer until New Moon, we are being twice tempted by the beginning of production for Eclipse!! And by the sounds of some new actors being cast in certain roles, there are alot of crucial scenes that will be included in the movie. **WARNING** If you have not read Eclipse, please do not read any further as there may be spoilers!!

I just loved this fanmade poster so much, I had to include it again. There are some incredibly talented people out there. (note to self - get photoshop!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

And so, without further ado....
The cast of ECLIPSE (some not yet confirmed!)

Bella Swan played by Kristen Stewart. How gorgeous does she look in this pic from the New Moon calendar?

And the gorgeous Edward Cullen played by Robert Pattinson. Do I need to say any more?

Jacob Black (werewolf) played by Taylor Lautner. Really looking forward to the whole love triangle saga in Eclipse! In real life, what girl would ever find herself in the situation of having to such hot guys fighting for her affection???

The Wolf pack, of course there will be many more characters added to this wolf pack in Eclipse!

Dr Carlise Cullen and Esme Cullen played by Peter Facinelli and Elizabeth Reaser. It is going to be awesome to see Esme kicking A in Eclipse!

Jasper and Alice played by Jackson Rathbone and Ashley Greene. I can't wait to see how they portray the stories of these two characters, we will get to see how Jackson was 'made' and how these two met! It will be great to see Jaspers character developed more.

Emmett and Rosalie played by Kellan Lutz and Nikki Reed. We will also see Rosalies background... can't wait to see if they show her taking her revenge!

Jack Huston to play Royce King II, (aka Rosalies fiance before she was created as a vampire), this is one story line I can't wait to see played out. I am so glad they have decided to include this part of Eclipse!

Catalina Sandino Moreno to play Maria, the vampire from Jaspers past... another scene I am looking foward to!!!

Bryce Dallas Howard to play Victoria and Aussie boy Xavier Samuel to play Riley. I must just add here that I am extremely disappointed that Rachelle La Ferve is not playing Victoria, especially as Eclipse is the pinnacle of her Victorias story. To me, Rachelle WAS Victoria and I don't know how I will relate to someone else playing the character.
We will miss you Rachelle!

Jodelle Ferland to play Bree!
This is the casting description of this character
Bree: 14-17, beautiful, 5′1″ – 5′3″, short dark hair, fair skin. Has a high pitched shrill scream. She is one of the newborn army who ravaged Seattle, killing many with her fellows under the guise of a serial killer.

So, obviously there are many characters I have not yet included, but I am so excited and looking forward to all the teasers and rumours that have become such a part of the Twilight Saga adventure!
I have been thinking about some of my favourite scenes from Eclipse and here are just a few.
- When Bella punches Jacob in the face and the scenes that follow!
- The scene in the tent when Bella thinks she is asleep and Jacob and Edward talk about her.
- The vampire fights and also the training sessions.
There are so many scenes that I love from this book! I have started to read it AGAIN!!!! I have such high expectations for the movie!!!
Okay, time to get some jewelry made! Have an amazing week everyone!

Teen Choice Awards

I know I am a little behind the times with this post, but just wanted to share some of these great pics that I found on newmoonmovie.org.
Wow, how well did Twilight do, picking up 11 of their 12 nominated awards!!! Of course we all knew they would, but it is nice to see it validated.

I just love how Kristen looks here, check out those legs! If I had legs like that I would be showing them off ALL the time. Her skirt is amazing and those are some killer heels! Great look for her.

Ummm, ok... very nice!

The Cullen boys, how adorable are they????

I just adore Jacksons smile, it lights up his whole face!

The rose between two thorns???? What a very lucky rose!

I haven't posted much lately, been very busy with the shop and family. Have to say a "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" to my Kaitlin who turns 10 today! Love you baby girl!
Well, filming for Eclipse is due to begin any day now, and I am sure there will be loads of rumour, gossip and speculation to read about. I can't wait! As it is a closed set, it should be a more relaxed atmosphere for all the actors, not having to worry about crazed fans and stalkers! Lots of juicy story lines in this book, lets hope they don't cut all the best bits from the script. I plan on reading the book again soon and highlighting all the 'must have' scenes. Is there anything that you think HAS to be in Eclipse? Whats your favourite part of the book?

What a week it has been!!

Wow, so much seems to have gone on in the Twilight world this week, where does a girl start!
Well, I guess a pic of Rob is as good as any huh!!!??

And we have the release in America of the New Moon chocolates...

I'll take 25 of Rob and 5 of Taylor thanks! Oh and throw in one of Kristen for prosperity. Anyone know where we can get hold of these down under???

Then we have the New Moon bookmarks, hmmm....
I'll have me some of these too! But, where can we get them? I need to know!

And of course Comic Con. Naturally living on another continent, in the wrong hemisphere made it nigh on impossible to attend (Oh for the lotto life!!). But we have been getting some great pics and video from all the wonderful people that could attend, lucky buggers! Though, when I think about it, it is probably a good thing that I didn't go, cause I would have been thrown out after smacking a few squeeling, shrieking teens in the mouth! Probably would have earnt a few assault charges too. *sigh* Can't these parents keep their noisy little what nots at home and leave the drooling to the mature adults?

These were a few of the releases at Comic Con and I want 'em all!!!

For the collectibility of course! And I ask you, why is there no shirtless Edward doll?

Or are the clothes removable???

Lots and lots of goodies to yearn after! I just need to sell about a hundred more things on etsy and I can't start buying up!! And again I say, Oh for the lotto life........
Just a reminder that this is the last week to get your entries in for the necklace and charm bracelet competition, just leave me a comment! I am starting to feel a little neglected over here.

New Moon still and a little eye candy to end the week!

I'm sorry but I can't remember which wonderful blog posted this gorgeous pic of Rob, but it is one of the blogs shown on my blogroll (over on the right there, see it??)

And this one I found on newmoonmovie.org, my Twilight bible!
Things are a bit quiet on the Twilight saga front. I guess it will remain that way until filming begins for Eclipse, which I think is next month.
So, I was wondering, what are your plans for the release of New Moon? Are you having a big movie night with a group of like minded Twifans? Are you sneaking off from work to go during the day when there are no kids (anyone under 20!!!!)? Having a big party? Heading off to the US for the premiere? (oh how I wish that was me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!).
What are your plans? I have a few in mind, all pretty lame, but don't forget, I am on the west coast of this humungous country and EVERYTHING ELSE IS ON THE EAST COAST! Except for the gorgeous Gil Birmingham, WA gets a big fat NOTHING!
So, if you have any ideas you can share with me, let me know.

Meeting Gil Birmingham @ Supanova

What an amazingly awesome time my friend Jo, my 2 girls Samara and Courtney and I had at the Perth Supanova convention yesterday.
As we arrived we found out that Gil was doing a talk in the seminar room, so we raced down there but only caught about the last 30 seconds! Bummer!!!! It looked like Gil had sung a song and we missed it. I tried to catch a photo, but mine didn't turn out too good. Luckily Jo managed to catch this one....

Then we wandered around for a while to check out the merchandise. I was disappointed not to find anything new, there was no New Moon stuff except for the poster which I already have. I ended up buying another puzzle, but that was all.
We decided to take the plunge and pay for an autographed pic and a photo. I will upload those later, but Jo caught some shots of Gil signing our pic.

Thats me standing there with the striped hoodie!! I was excited to be so close!!! But we were all very demure and restrained and did not squeel until later. Gil is a lovely guy, very friendly and down to earth. I was surprised by how tall he is and he looks so much younger in real life than he does in Twilight. He has the most amazing smile and an incredibly broad chest!!! I actually got to nestle up against that chest... only for the photo though. Because all 4 of us were in the photo with Gil, we had to squeeze in, what a shame!!!! I promise to get that pic up later today!

We also had our photo taken with some Star Wars characters....

(The gorgeous Jo, me and Courtney)

and had a blast checking out the local wildlife....

We couldn't believe the amount of people who came dressed up as characters (even vampires!) and just plain bizarre outfits! What a sheltered life I have led up until now. Just another way that Twilight has changed my life and opened it up to new and amazing experiences.
We all had an amazing time and it was a little strange to come home and back to reality.
Now I am planning for October and GO3...
A BIG thanks to the gorgeous Jo for all these photos and for sharing my obsession!
